Why is brewing taking longer than the recommended 6 minutes?
- Your geographic area may affect brew time due to voltage differences. Lower voltage results in slower brewing. Descale your brewer if voltage is not an issue.
Why is the coffee not hot?
- Bonavita brewers maintain 195-205°F during brewing, but coffee cools upon contact with air. Brewing at high elevations or smaller batches may reduce temperature.
How often should I descale my Bonavita brewer?
- Descale at least every 100 uses, or more frequently with hard water. Use a biodegradable, phosphate-free coffee machine descaler.
