Bonavita brewers are designed to brew coffee at the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA)–certified temperature range of 195–205°F at the point of extraction, which is the industry standard for optimal coffee brewing.
It’s important to note that temperature readings taken from the coffee after brewing, such as in the carafe, may be lower. This is normal and expected, as coffee begins to lose heat immediately once brewing is complete. Smaller brew volumes cool more quickly than larger ones.
For reference, the ideal drinking temperature for coffee is typically between 135–150°F, depending on personal preference. Coffee brewed at the proper temperature is intended to cool slightly before consumption for both comfort and flavor.
To submit a warranty claim, please contact Bonavita customer support by email at support@bonavitabrand.co. One of our agents will help you with your claim.
Used units may be subject to a larger restocking fee depending on the condition of the returned item.
Please descale your brewer every 60 brew cycles to keep it performing at its best and your coffee tasting great. Neglecting regular descaling can result in buildup and potential permanent damage.
