Bonavita Return & Refund Policy

At Bonavita, we’re committed to your complete satisfaction. If for any reason you’re not delighted with your purchase, we’ve made our return and refund process as simple, transparent, and customer-friendly as possible.


1. Overview

  • Policy Duration: 30 days from date of delivery

  • Scope: Applies to all products purchased directly through bonavitabrand.co (or an authorized Bonavita retailer’s online store)

  • Goal: Ensure a premium experience from unboxing through post-purchase support


2. Eligibility for Returns & Exchanges

To qualify for a return or exchange, items must meet all of the following:

  1. Within 30 days of delivery date.

  2. Unused, unassembled, and in the same condition you received them.

  3. Original packaging intact (box, manuals, accessories, warranty card).

  4. Proof of purchase (order number or packing slip).


3. Non-Returnable & Final-Sale Items

Certain goods cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Clearance, “As-Is,” or Final Sale items
  • Gift cards and e-gift certificates
  • Products damaged by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modification
  • Perishable Goods / Food Items (e.g. Coffee beans, creamer, syrup)
  • Filter Papers and Descalers 
  • Opened or Used Items

4. Return & Exchange Process

  1. Contact Customer Support

  2. Prepare Your Shipment

    • Repack the item(s) securely in original packaging.

    • Affix the prepaid return label (if provided) or ship to our returns department

      
      
  3. Ship Your Return

    • Drop off at the specified carrier.

    • Keep your tracking number for reference.

  4. Inspection & Approval

    • Once received, our Quality Team will inspect for eligibility (3–5 business days).

  5. Refund or Exchange

    • Approved Returns: Refund issued to original payment method within 5–7 business days post inspection.

    • Approved Exchanges: Replacement item shipped at no additional cost (subject to stock availability).


5. Refund Details

*All returns are subject up to 15% restocking fee deducted from the final payout amount. 

  • Full Refund: Items returned in original condition within 30 days. *subject to 15% restocking fee*

  • Partial Refund:

    • Items not in original condition, missing parts, or damaged through customer handling. *subject to 20% restocking fee*

     

  • Refund Method: Original payment method. For alternate methods (e.g. gift), store credit may be offered.


6. Shipping Costs & Responsibility

  • Defective or Incorrect Items: Bonavita covers all return shipping costs.

  • Customer-Initiated Returns: Unless due to defect or error, customers are responsible for return shipping fees.

  • International Returns: Customers are responsible for duties, taxes, and return shipping; customs documents must be clearly marked “RETURNED GOODS.”


7. Warranty Claims

  • One-Year Limited Warranty: Covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship.

  • Warranty claims follow a similar process—please contact support with photos and serial number.

  • Warranty claims are not subjected to the restocking fee.
     
  • warranty claims are not eligible for refunds, as they are intended solely for repair or replacement in accordance with our warranty policy.

8. Exceptions & Special Circumstances

  • Holiday Season Purchases: Orders placed between November 15 and December 31 may be returned until January 31.

  • Gift Returns: Receivers may return or exchange gifts. Refunds on gift purchases are issued as store credit.


9. Legal Considerations & Consumer Rights

  • California Residents: Under California Civil Code § 1798.83, you may request certain information about our data practices.

  • EU & UK Customers: Rights under local consumer laws (e.g., 14-day cooling-off period) are honored where applicable.

  • Compliance: This policy complies with U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines and all applicable state and federal laws.
