    DESCALING

    In areas with hard water, minerals can gradually build up inside your coffee maker. Regular descaling helps maintain optimal brewing performance and ensures great-tasting coffee day after day.

    Follow these steps to descale your machine:

    1. Follow the instructions provided with your coffee machine descaling product.
    2. Fill the water reservoir to the top hash mark.
    3. Turn the brewer on and press DESCALE. The indicator will flash as the cleaning cycle begins.
    4. Once complete, rinse the brewer and carafe twice with fresh water.

    For best performance, we recommend descaling your brewer after approximately every 100 uses, or more frequently in areas with very hard water.

    "This is my second Bonavita 8-cup drip brewer. The only reason I bought a new one is because I had broken the lid to the carafe, and broken the filter holder. It STILL makes the best coffee after making 2-3 pots a day for 10 years. I wish the new version still had the basket holder that sits on top of the carafe, but I fixed that by purchasing one, and I'm now good to go again!"

    "What a mess of a company. I ordered an 8 cup and tried to change it to 5 cup but the order when thru anyways. Then I immediately called to change it and was put “ on hold cycle for one hour. Than was disconnected. I sent an email too but no reply. Poor poor service!"
