The lab doesn't test "a kettle." It takes the machine apart and tests every material
on the path your water travels. Their words on the left —
our red pen on the right.
1SPEC.
The clear tank you fill
"Transparent SAN water tank"
Held boiling water for 30 minutes; the lab measured what leached out. Answer: nothing above 10 ppm — and its styrene & acrylonitrile building blocks were tested separately, five simulants deep.

2SPEC.
The seals and gaskets
"Transparent silicone · PSU gasket of heat tube"
The rubbery bits that sit against hot water all day. Passed FDA extraction testing and screened for all five bisphenols down to 1 µg/kg. Found: none.
Specimens 2, 4, 5 · Sample A
Silicone + Gasket
3SPEC.
The handles and lids
"White PP / Black PP"
Polypropylene, verified against the FDA's own fingerprint for food-grade PP — melting point 169–172°C, density 0.899–0.912 g/cm³ — squarely inside spec, with nothing extractable by hexane.
Specimens 1–3 · Samples A, B
Polypropylene
4SPEC.
The steel
"Silver SUS304 / stainless steel 304"
Food-grade stainless is defined by chromium: NSF requires at least 16%. The lab dissolved ours in acid and measured 16.91% and 19.06%. It's the real thing.
Specimens 4, 6 · Samples A, B
304 Steel
5SPEC.
The glass carafe
"Transparent glass"
Six separate specimens, tested for leachable lead and cadmium under FDA and California rules. All twelve readings — six lead, six cadmium — came back ND.
Specimen 7 · Sample A

Remark
Page 6 · The two letters that matter
ND
this is the result you want, everywhere, and it's the one we got.
ND — "Not Detected" — means the laboratory looked for a substance with instruments sensitive to parts per billion and found nothing at all. Not "within limits." Not "acceptable levels." Nothing. Across three reports, it's the most common word in ours.
MDL method detection limit — how faint a trace the instrument can see µg/kg one part per billion — a drop in an olympic pool 212°F the temperature they tested at — a full boil, like real brewing
