"I've had the old version for 10 years. After a decade of daily use, it still works great. I bought the new version in white for the office. The pictures don't do it justice - it's a beautiful but subtle almost mother-of-pearl finish. The new base is larger than I'd like it to be and i dislike all the LEDs and that the power light glows 24/7. I'll keep this one at the office. I wish the classic version and old base came in white. Overall very pleased with the kettle though. Be advised that this baby draws about 8. 5 amps, so running it on the same circuit as a microwave or other major appliance will trip a standard 15 or even 20 amp breaker. No complaints though. I like it hot and I like it now."
